After several months of extensive testing – in other words, I watched baseball while the Automower 315 barely exceeded 60 decibels while mowing – I can fully confirm that I paid a high price for accepting a robot that hardly needs my attention and is only there to guard the health of my lawn. The two modest front wheels of the 8 kg lawnmower and the two more powerful rear wheels make it possible to climb and walk up to 40% of the hills and drive on bumpy ground without sacrificing speed. At the same time, the 8.7-inch cutting width allowed it to slip in and out with tighter cutting capabilities than a normal lawnmower could ever touch. Thanks to the maximum service life of the rechargeable lithium battery of just over an hour, the Automower 315 is able to cultivate an astonishing lawn area of around a quarter of an acre when charged.
Easy to use
The most annoying disadvantage I can indicate is that the Automower 315 is no different from almost any other robotic mower. The installation of the boundary wire and tip can take several hours, depending on the configuration of your installation. It’s not even necessarily complicated. You pull a wire along the edges of the lawn and eventually connect it to the charging station. It’s just exhausting.
After that, the Automower 315 will take good care of itself. Intelligent cutting sensors analyse the growth rate and weather conditions of your lawn to create a cutting plan for all four seasons. This system also allows you to check the health of your lawn between mowing days, allowing you to adjust the mowing and height of cut as needed. Meanwhile, the sensitive and responsive Deep L sensor sends the rear mower back to the base station in wet weather and does not start or resume mowing until the ground is dry. If you need to call Automower 315 yourself to bring it to your environment, you can use the free Android or iOS exclusive application to create the schedule directly or send it directly if needed.

The Automower 315 literally picks up the green for you from unique and almost infinite angles. By guiding the mower along straight lines in the grass, you create a clean, clear pattern. This means that even a multi-blade mower can only mow in a few directions. This mower is a bit difficult to handle with sideways projections, but it is an artist who has to embellish the lawn with a subtle touch of master painter.
Maintenance
Hardly. Of course, it is just as important to keep the battery charged as it is to keep it away from water. Also here I can confirm from my own experience that Automower 315 is able to solve both problems independently, with minimal help, in a reasonable and reliable way.
Safety features
Can I trust my children around the Automower 315 as long as it works? Absolutely. Quick-response tilt and lift sensors stop the blade rotors immediately if the machine unexpectedly touches anything or lifts it off the ground during operation. A security system with a PIN code lock also prevents anyone from turning on the mower without entering their unique password – a measure that makes the mower completely useless to anyone who wants to walk with it.
Profitability
If you have to spend almost $2,000 on a lawnmower and you have about a quarter of an acre of grass spread over steep and exhausting hills, I recommend the Husqvarna Automower 315. You could almost certainly have saved money by climbing these slopes alone with a self-propelled lawnmower or ride-on mower, but with a stand-alone lawnmower assistant smart enough to stay out of wet weather, watch your lawn grow quickly and climb slopes your competitors can’t touch, you save countless hours you could have spent without mowing.
